About Me - Sangha Yoga Studio

Hello, I'm alanna and I own and teach in Sangha Yoga Studio in Strathaven.
I qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2020 and I'm currently studying for my Advanced Teacher Training 300 hour course.

I first discovered Yoga around 20 years ago when I was working as a secondary English teacher. I was suffering badly with stress at this time, and I found that Yoga really helped to relieve some of the stress and tension I was holding in my body.

Since then I have deepened my practice on and off the mat, and I am so lucky to have been able to open a beautiful Yoga studio and create a community of wonderful yogis.

I love teaching yoga and I want everyone to feel welcome and included in the studio. It's a place to relax, relieve tension, and to move your body in a way that feels good.
Yoga is a practice for everybody and every body can benefit from a regular yoga practise. There is definitely no need to be super fit or flexible before you begin!

Yoga makes you stronger, more flexible and balanced, but even more importantly it gives you a feeling of being able to slow down, to become aware of your body, mind, breath and energy, and to be calmer and more aware in your life.

I am very grateful to each and every one of the teachers and students who create the sangha yoga community and I hope that we will all continue to grow and develop our yoga practice together.
